I love this place The double-decker pizza is phenomenal and the beer is always cold... Can't beat that!!. Definitely one of my hometown favorites.

I was in town for my daughter’s cheer events and had time to eat prior to her performance at Ford Center. I searched area for Pizza places and came across this old school pizza joint. Very friendly staff, local / home town atmosphere!! Had to try double decker pizza and was not disappointed! It’s very filling, so took plenty home for leftovers saved this spot in my maps for the next time I get down to the area.

Wanted to support somewhere local, and wanted some pizza for the weekend. I am a food delivery driver and have picked up pizza for customers from here and really wanted to try it out after smelling it in the car taking it to customers. We got the three ingredients pizza with pepperoni, pineapple, and spinach. It was absolutely delicious. The sauce and things are a little sweet, and the pizza is very thin and crispy. They do the checkerboard pizza cut style for easy sharing, and the bread sticks were very good. Golden brown and the cheese dip was great as well. I would definitely recommend deerhead pizza as one of, if not the best local pizza shops in town at the moment. Looking forward to trying more menu options in the future!

My husband picked up a double decker pizza! I had no idea they had them! I was barely able to get through a whole piece! It's stuffed with toppings! I would highly recommend to get some pizza sauce on the side. He got us parmesan and feta. It was amazing! This is a locally owned treasure! I have lived in Evansville my whole life and have had a few things on their menu. Everything I have tried is delicious! I highly recommend it.

Ate lunch on a Friday. Server was really good and kept our drinks full. I had the Greek salad that was fantastic as always. I also had the pork soulvakia. The flavor was great but the meat was a little dry and tough. The chicken version is better to me. I still recommend this place!! Visited again and did take out on the Hawaiian pizza. It is fantastic! Visited again for lunch and had the Greek salad with grilled chicken. Very good! Had the French dip today for lunch. It was great! We ate dinner on a Saturday night The server is normally in the kitchen but they were short staffed. She did excellent!!

Rating: Killah! My wife and I have lived only minutes from Deerhead for many years but after several recommendations, we decided to try it. OMG, was the food amazing! We ordered "The Double Decker" pizza and we're stunned at how good it was. Lots of ingredients, great crust (and crispy edges), cheese was perfect, dough was perfect, and the sauce was great! Shazam! So much regret for not having tried this restaurant sooner.

(2022) Good pizza. Crisp cracker crust. At lunch 11-3pm 8" 3 topping under 8.00. Cold beer. Good service. Will return. (12/2023) Still Great Pizza at lunch. We need to go back and try something else.

I ordered to go and we got the Meaty Blues thin crust. It was ready on time. The staff was friendly, quick and efficient. They do have a drive thru for pick up, but I went inside. I can't wait to return when I can sit down and have a beer at the really cool bar! What an awesome vibe! Don't miss this place!
